Description This contract is for the approval of two batting cages to be installed at the Paulson and Guy Minnick Sports Complexes, with H2i Group Inc. in the amount of $69,804. The replacement of the batting cage at Paulson Sports Complex is a necessary improvement to a park amenity that has been inoperable for years and a key improvement requested by youth baseball coaches. The addition of a second batting cage at the Guy Minnick Sports Complex represents an expansion of amenities and allows more teams to take advantage of this popular feature during league practices, games, and tournaments. The equipment and repairs are part of the Recreation Reimagined initiative which is focused on creating and providing high quality recreation facilities and experiences to Savannah residents.
Per section 2-4152 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services using a cooperative contract. The Sourcewell contract used for this procurement is H2i Group, Inc. contract #031622-H for Artificial Turf, Track Surfacing, and Associated Equipment which expires May 26, 2026.
