Description

This is a Notification of an Emergency Purchase for Bar Screens from Cornerstone H2O in the amount of $265,000. The City Stormwater Management Department recently had a catastrophic failure of the Montgomery Crossroads Pump Station due to bar screen wear and tear. The bar screens are critical components of the stormwater pump station's performance, as they remove debris from the pumped canal waters. The screens trap the debris to create a dam, preventing the pumping of the stormwater. During larger rainfall events, the bar screens lack of functioning will result in water backing in the canal and cause flooding occurrences. This repair is especially critical and time-sensitive as the summer months and tropical systems season begin.

Cornerstone H2O is the original equipment manufacturer of these bar screen components.

The vendor is:
E.P.   Cornerstone H2O  (Peachtree City, GA)(D)          $265,000

(D) Indicates non-local, non-DBE business.
