This is for the approval of an annual contract with Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless for the provision of Street Outreach & Transportation Services for people experiencing homelessness in an amount not to exceed $273,715.

On March 13, 2025, the City of Savannah announced the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Street Outreach & Transportation Services for people experiencing homelessness. The RFP was advertised in the Savannah Morning News, the Savannah Tribune, the City’s website, and shared with the Interagency Council on Homelessness / Continuum of Care (ICH/CoC) network. The City received proposals and the following proposal is recommended for funding: Homeless Outreach Team (HOT), submitted by Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless for an amount of $273,715. The HOT program will fund four homeless outreach full-time employees who will be dedicated to the City of Savannah boundaries and operate from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm Monday through Saturday. This team will target individuals and families experiencing homelessness and/or at risk of homelessness to expand the points of access to services and provide transportation services needed to increase their health, safety, and quality of life. Additionally, the HOT program will provide coordination and transportation services during inclement weather and work directly with the City of Savannah’s Extended Intake Hours for Emergency Shelter provider to provide transportation for individuals experiencing homelessness who wish to enter emergency shelter after normal business hours.

The contract term is for one year with two renewal options. Terms: Net 30 days. Delivery: As needed.
