This contract is for the procurement of five (5) compact excavators from National Equipment Dealers, LLC c/o Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas, Inc. contract No. 032119-HCE in the amount of $382,761. The compact excavators will be utilized by the Water Distribution, Sewer Maintenance Division, and City Cemeteries. The compact excavators for the Water Distribution and Sewer Maintenance Division will be replacing units #3825, 3826, 1807, and 7865, which are planned replacements, and will be used to complete water and sewer systems repairs. The compact excavator for City Cemeteries will be an FY23 fleet addition that will be used for digging burial plots. 

Cooperative purchasing is authorized as an appropriate procurement method in Division 10 Section 2-4152 of the City of Savannah’s Purchasing Ordinance. The Sourcewell contract used for this procurement is National Equipment Dealers, LLC c/o Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas, Inc. Contract No 032119-HCE for Heavy Construction Equipment with Related Accessories, Attachments, and Supplies which will expire on May 13, 2024.
