This contract is for the procurement of one (1) front loading refuse truck from Solid Waste Applied Technologies c/o New Way in the amount of $335,500. The City of Savannah’s Commercial Refuse Division will utilize the front-loading refuse trucks to replace unit 5730 which has reached the end of its useful life cycle and is no longer economical to maintain. The vendor has one available allocation for a front-loading refuse truck and the anticipated delivery date is August 31, 2023. The procurement of the new front-loading refuse truck will ensure the continuity of the department’s operations at the existing equipment level.

Per Section 2-4152 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services using a cooperative contract. This procurement is being made through the use of Sourcewell contract # 091219-NWY for the front-loading refuse truck from Solid Waste Applied Technologies c/o New Way. Terms: Net 30 days.
