Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to execute contract modification No. 3 with Johnson-Laux Construction for site and civil services for the Savannah Police Department's Central Precinct in the amount of $6,613.01.  The original contract was for site and civil work for the construction of the Savannah Police Department's Central Precinct. This contract modification is needed for various cost increases due to unforeseen construction conditions and minor scope changes.  The changes are to add a sidewalk amendment with associated landscaping, and a sanitary extension and additional cleanout.

The original contract was approved by Council on December 7, 2017 in the amount of $1,433.532.08.  The total amount of this contract to date, including this amendment, is $1,530,640.69. This contract was a sole source using the State of Georgia’s job order contractor for this region, Johnson-Laux Construction.
