The City of Savannah maintains a sewer force main on Georgia Ports Authority property. Under terms of the existing easement, the City is responsible for costs associated with relocation of this infrastructure.

The Georgia Ports Authority is constructing the Mason Mega Rail Terminal at the Port of Savannah, which will double the Port's rail capacity on the property. Construction necessitates the City relocate a portion of the sewer force main. The City of Savannah will pay for costs associated with this relocation, which is estimated at $600,000. Funding will come from Savannah's Water and Sewer Fund.
