Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to execute Contract Modification No. 2 for the State Street Garage design services with Raymond Engineering in the amount of $10,800.

The original contract was for services to perform a field investigation and report of current conditions, provide design plans and specifications, and perform construction administration and observation of the needed repairs to the State Street Garage building envelope.  During the design process, staff was notified that there was leaks that were occurring in the MPC Office. Raymond Engineering’s contract was amended to provide plans and specifications to stop the leaks. The plans are broken out into two sections. The first section is the repair of the sealants along the first floor of the garage. The second section is the repairs to the water damage inside of the MPC building.  The contract amendment is for Raymond Engineering to do the construction administration of both portions of the work. The work will be completed by two separate contractors.  The construction administration will included submittal review, onsite reviews and inspections, and closeout services.

This contract was originally approved by Council on February 1, 2018 in the amount of $36,500.00.  Amendment No. 1 was approved by Council on October 11, 2018 in the amount of $42,000.00.  The total amount of this contract to date, including this amendment, is $89,300.00.
