This is a construction contract with Lynn Construction Company in the amount of $294,909 for roof and lighting repairs at the Southside Fleet Maintenance Facility – Shop 1. This project includes a roof replacement and lighting upgrade at the maintenance facility located at 6900 Sallie Mood Drive.

The existing roof at this facility is leaking and requires replacement. The project will replace the roof on both the high and low sections of the building, including installing a new TPO roof, insulation, flashing, gutters, and related components to provide a long-term, watertight roof. As part of the roof replacement, the existing skylights will be covered, which will reduce natural light inside the shop. To maintain safe and adequate lighting for daily operations, the project also includes upgrading the interior lighting with new LED high-bay fixtures. The lighting work includes removal of existing fixtures, installation of new LED fixtures, and completion of necessary electrical connections.

Per Section 2-4154 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through the use of a state contract. The contract used for this procurement is the State of Georgia contract for Indefinite Quantity Construction (Contract #99999-SPD-20200901). It was competitively bid by the State of Georgia and expires on April 19, 2026.
