26. Authorize the City Manager to Award a Construction Contract to Dabbs-Williams Contractors, LLC for the Construction of a New Columbarium at Greenwich Cemetery in the Amount of $1,327,544. (Capital Projects)

Description

This construction contract with Dabbs-Williams Contractors, LLC is for the construction of a new columbarium at Greenwich Cemetery in the amount of $1,327,544. This project is for 10 new niche walls with a total capacity of 572. Construction will include an open-air plaza with connecting sidewalks, benches, and landscaping. The current columbarium at Greenwich Cemetery is nearing capacity, with approximately 30 niches sold each year. Soon, the remaining inventory of niches will be exhausted.

 

This project expands available space and provides a cohesive, accessible area that compliments the existing grounds and provides a peaceful and comforting environment for visitors. This project was competitively solicited and received two responses. The responding vendors were:
