This request was approved by the Commission on October 9, 2023. After corresponding with the initial winning bidder, Blanchard Equipment Co., LLC, staff learned that the company was not able to provide the mower. For that reason, the Commission opened the opportunity to the second bidder, Jerry Pate Turf & Irrigation. Jerry Pate Turf & Irrigation offered a discounted price to the Commission, along with an Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) of the equipment within 60 days. The riding mower will be assigned to the Airport’s Airfield Department. The new unit will be a replacement unit for one of SAC’s current units that has reached the end of its life cycle. The Commission advertised a Request for Quotation (RFQ) from August 15 – September 15, 2023. This is a 2023 budgeted item ($50,000).
