| Description Amendment No. 3 consists of three requests. The first request is due to unexpected material shortages and long lead times which have delayed the construction completion date by approximately six (6) months, causing AECOM to incur additional project manager costs.
The second request is for construction phase services for the build-out of the lower level, which added additional submittals, Requests for Information (RFI’s), and four (4) months to the contract time.
The third request is to redesign the passenger screening area. This redesign was requested by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The checkpoint area will be redesigned in anticipation of Savannah Airport Commission's (SAC) receipt of two new pieces of equipment instead of one, as initially confirmed by TSA. This redesign was necessary to relocate the equipment in the new screening space to provide space to move passengers through the checkpoint area efficiently. | |
