14. Authorize the City Manager to Execute a Contract for City Hall Exterior Lighting with Moseler, LLC, d/b/a Founders Maintenance & Restoration in an Amount Not to Exceed $90,146. This upgrade will modernize and provide the main LED lighting to the City Hall’s dome, statues, and balconies. This procurement will upgrade the current external lighting system at City Hall. Description

This is to procure a contract for City Hall Exterior Lighting with Moseler, LLC, d/b/a Founders Maintenance & Restoration in an Amount Not to Exceed $90,146. This upgrade will modernize and provide the main LED lighting to the City Hall’s dome, statues, and balconies. This procurement will upgrade the current external lighting system at City Hall. The current lighting system is dated and in need of repairs and modernization. This upgrade will change the lighting system to energy saving LED lights and provide electronic (digital) management for the system, making it more efficient to change the lighting requirements during events such as St. Patrick’s Day (green lighting), Cancer Awareness Month (pink lighting), Domestic Violence Awareness Month (purple), and any other awareness topics which may require different color solidarity lighting.

 

The method used for this procurement was the Request for Proposals (RFP), which evaluates criteria in addition to cost. The proposals were evaluated based on qualifications and experience, technical capabilities, references, fees, and local participation.

 

Four (4) proposals were received in response to this RFP. Two (2) proposals were deemed non-responsive. The fee proposals for the two (2) responsive firms were then opened, and the proposals were fully scored.


The proposal was advertised, opened, and reviewed. Delivery: As needed. Terms: Net 30 days. The proposers were:

A pre-proposal conference was/was not conducted and three (3) vendors attended. (B) indicates local, non-DBE owned business. (D) Indicates non-local, non-DBE business.
