| Description This is for Contract Modification No. 1 for Multimodal Transportation Implementation Plan contract with Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. in an amount of $72,600.
This modification is needed to develop a Hutchinson Island Emergency Evacuation Plan (HIEEP) to include two (2) emergency evacuation scenarios in collaboration with the Savannah Moves Technical Coordinator Committee and the City's Emergency Preparedness Division. The HIEEP will outline two sectors on Hutchinson Island based on potential development data to be provided by the City: Industrial, Port and Residential, and Convention. The HIEEP will outline guidance for the following in response to an emergency originating in each of these segments:
1. Timing of segmental evacuation 2. Wayne Shackleford Boulevard and Hutchinson Island Road a. Public Safety asset allocation b. Access and traffic control plan 3. US 17/Talmadge Bridge a. Public Safety asset allocation b. Access and traffic control plan c. I-16 dynamic message sign message recommendations 4. Assembly points for non-vehicular evacuation (assumes activation of CAT buses, CAT Ferries, and Savannah Police Boats)
