Recommend approval to award a design contract for the Bryan Street Garage to JMT in the amount of $31,000.00. The Bryan Street Garage is currently experiencing spalling along the edges of the precast concrete beams. In addition the sealants covering the joints along the top floor of the garage have reached the end of their expected design life and are beginning to let water leak into the garage causing metal connections to corode. This project will require the consultant to perform a field investigation and report of the current conditions, provide design plans and specifications, and perform construction administration and observation of the needed repairs. JMT will also design a traffic driving surface sealant suitable for all weather conditions for the top floor of the garage.
