Description This is for contract modification no. 1/final close-out modification for the Travis Field Force Main with Ruby-Collins, Inc in the amount of $263,835. These costs included re-mobilization of driller, areas of deeper excavation created by conflicts with unexpectedly deep existing utilities, and revised fitting connections because the original fittings did not provide a reliable seal. This is for the construction of a new 17,000-foot-long, 30-inch-diameter force main. This main is necessary to convey treated wastewater from the Travis Field Water Reclamation Facility. The proposed force main will parallel Pipe Maker’s Canal and will be installed within an existing utility easement located in the canal right of way.
This contract was originally approved by the Council on February 11, 2021 in the amount of $7,992,950. The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $8,256,785. | |
