Description This is for contract modification no. 1/final close-out modification for the Travis Field Water Reclamation Facility Project with Ruby-Collins, Inc. in the amount of $1,314,538. Some of the increased cost was due to owner-requested changes, including repairs to existing City of Savannah lift station No. 40 (pumps, controls, and generator), additional buildings/enclosures to protect equipment, electrical control changes for added monitoring capabilities, and site safety improvements. Other additions were needed to account for differing site conditions including minor additional clearing & grading, water tie-in relocation, disposal of unsuitable soils under abandoned treatment pond in excess of estimates, and supplemental feed to build up plant biomass until plant could begin discharging. Other changes included re-design and modification of site roadway. This number also reflects credit for temporary effluent main extension and shorter construction piling.
This contract was originally approved by Council on August 29, 2019, in the amount of $39,355,812. The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $40,670,349.42.
