Description Recommend approval of Contract Amendment No.1 for Waters Avenue Streetscape – Design Services with EMC Engineering in the amount of $26,500. The original contract was for the design services, this project will be similar to the streetscape project on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and is expected to be constructed in multiple phases with the area between 37th and Anderson Streets being completed first. The purpose of this project is to beautify the corridor in order to stimulate economic development by installing brick sidewalks, stamped concrete crosswalks, decorative lighting, upgraded crosswalks for ADA accessibility, and landscaping. The contract amendment will update and finalize the Phase III plans to match the Phase II plans, which include the costs to update the Phase II plans to change the sidewalk and construction administration for Phase II. The breakdown is as follows: This contract was originally approved by Council on November 19, 2013 in the amount of $319,500. The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification is $346,000.
