Recommend approval to award a contract for project management services to Jones Lang LaSalle, Inc. in the amount of $2,841,606.00.

The Arena project consists of the construction of a 149,000-square-foot, approximately 9,000-seat civic center arena along with necessary site infrastructure. The cost of the project is expected to be $140 million.  This facility will be the largest single project that the City has ever undertaken. Due to the size and complexity of the project it is imperative that the City have an expert project management firm to assist in the management of the design, construction, closeout and transition to operations of this facility. 

All submitting firms were interviewed and all submitting firms were asked to provide best and final offers. No numerical MWBE goals were established for this project, but proposers were encouraged to achieve the highest possible MWBE participation and were allotted a maximum of 15 points in the evaluation criteria. Based on the proposed schedule of MWBE participation submitted by the recommended proposer, the overall MWBE participation for this project will be 30%, with 25% MBE being performed by The Polote Corporation and 5% WBE being performed by Greenline Architecture.
