Description This is a notification of an emergency purchase for various equipment rentals with Unite Rentals in the amount of $92,636. A significant cave-in was discovered at the Water Reclamation Facility's main sewer line in the southwest corner of the property. The sinkhole caused a substantial amount of sand, soil, and grit to be drawn into the plant headworks. This partial failure prompted immediate emergency response actions by city staff. The influx of sand impaired the effectiveness of the preliminary screening processes. To facilitate repairs and restore functionality, the department rented various pieces of equipment to reduce the flow to the headworks. These rentals included pumps, forklifts, and plugs, totaling $92,636. | |
