Contract Modification No.1 is for Azure software services (SPD PenLink) from Insight Public Sector in the amount not to exceed $22,500. Azure is the cloud computing services component of the current Microsoft EA agreement being utilized by the City of Savannah. The Azure environment provides scalable infrastructure for the City’s cloud-based services such as MySavannah and virtual computing resources from our public-facing devices. Utilizing this cloud-based environment provides increased security, expands accessibility to daily operational resources, and delivers a platform for disaster recovery. This contract will be used by the police department to maintain the Azure cloud storage environment that allows for cloud computing services created by Microsoft for building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services through Microsoft-managed data systems for PenLink.  

The City Manager approved the original purchase for $47,584.90 on February 7, 2024. This modification will put the total amount for this contract at $70,084.90.  

This is being procured through the use of a cooperative Omnia Contract Number: 23-6692-03 expiring April 30, 2026.
