The City of Savannah will partner with Foster Beelief, an Historical Black Colleges and Universities student led honeybee charity based in Savannah to draft a resolution and move toward joining Bee City USA. Bee City USA is a program that recognizes, supports, and encourages pollinator conservation in cities, towns, and counties. It seeks to galvanize communities to sustain pollinators, in particular the more than 3,600 species of native bees in this country, by increasing the abundance of native plants, providing nest sites, and reducing the use of pesticides.
