| Description This is contract modification no. 1 for Lift Station No. 23 repairs with Astra Grading and Pipe, LLC in the amount of $501,270. Lift Station No. 23 serves the West Savannah and the Chatham Parkway corridor, pumping millions of gallons of untreated sewage east across historic downtown from the foot of the Talmadge Bridge to the President Street Treatment Plant. The increased cost was due to the omission of 354 linear feet of pipe from the project, the addition of a retaining wall to support the generator pad on the side slope, and upgrading electrical strips (busbars) from copper to silver plating for increased life.
This contract was originally approved by the Council on December 21, 2021, in the amount of $19,273,000. The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification is $19,774,269.99. | |
