This contract is to procure a 12-inch mechanical bypass pump from Mersino in the amount of  $109,997. The pump serves as an emergency backup in case of electrical and generator failure for Lift Station 194. The lift station will have increased flow due to the new Hyundai Plant requiring a much higher pumping capacity than currently available through existing bypass pumps.  Having this pump in place will ensure the uninterrupted flow of sewage to the Travis Field WWTP (Waste Water Treatment Plant) preventing a massive sewage spill if the lift station electrical and generator systems go down. 

Per Division 10 section 2-4154 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the use of the contracts from other governmental agencies is authorized as an appropriate procurement method of the City of Savannah's Purchasing Ordinance. The contract being utilized is the FSA Cooperative Purchasing Program (contract #FSA23-EQU21.0), which expires September 30, 2025. Delivery: As needed. Terms: Net 30 days.
