This is to establish a construction contract with TIC-The Industrial Company in the amount of $396,262 for the comprehensive restoration and revitalization of the Coffee Bluff Marina. ​In 2009, the City of Savannah purchased Coffee Bluff Marina to maintain the marina as a water access point for the people of Savannah as well as tourists traveling to Savannah. Coffee Bluff Marina is now run and managed by Metzger Marine Services. Coffee Bluff Marina was last restored in 2014.

The scope of work for Coffee Bluff Marina Dock Repairs is based on the recommendations outlined in the Coffee Bluff Assessment Report prepared by GEL Engineering LLC, dated April 2, 2024. The work includes removing and replacing two cut tie rods at Float D-5 with new hot-dipped galvanized components. All existing nuts and washers on the tie rod assemblies shall be removed and replaced with new hot-dipped galvanized hardware, with an estimated quantity of 3,016 pairs. Tie rods exhibiting 20 percent or greater section loss or damaged threads shall also be removed and replaced with new hot-dipped galvanized components. All work shall be performed in accordance with the recommendations and details provided in the GEL Engineering report.
