Strategic Priority
GOAL 5: Improve Quality of Life by Raising Municipal Service Standards
Description

This contract is for the approval of a Wellness Platform with WellRight, LLC in an amount not to exceed $85,302.  As the City of Savannah’s new vendor for employee wellness programs, this agenda item aligns with the GPS strategic plan and goal to expand wellness and resilience programs to better support the mental and physical health of City of Savannah personnel.

This transition aligns with the City’s commitment to building a healthier, more engaged, and equitable workforce. The WellRight platform offers a mobile-first, data-driven, and highly customizable solution designed to increase engagement, support early prevention, and improve long-term health outcomes, all while maintaining budget-neutral implementation and positioning the City of Savannah asa leader in municipal employee wellbeing.

The City’s current wellness platform, managed through Quantum Health, has not met the needs of our diverse workforce due to limited mobile access, low engagement, and limited reporting. WellRight addresses these challenges through a fully integrated wellness solution that meets employees where they are, on any device, at any time, while empowering the City of Savannah to evaluate success through live, actionable data.

Three vendors were evaluated: WellRight, Asset Health, and HealthCheck360.
Proposals were scored on functionality, user experience, technology, and client support. WellRight emerged as the top choice for its:
• Intuitive, mobile-first platform
• Robust real-time analytics and departmental segmentation
• Flexible, configurable design and proactive client support

Key Benefits to the City

• Equitable Access: 24/7 mobile and online tools support all shifts and locations.
• Higher Engagement: Personalized health challenges, coaching, and interactive content increase participation.
• Real-Time Insights: Data dashboards enable HR to track outcomes and ROI.
• Cost Neutral: Modernizes program without additional cost to the city.
• Healthier Workforce: Encourages prevention, early detection, and improved long-term health outcomes.
• Enhanced Employee Experience: Strengthens the City’s reputation as an employer of choice.
• Health Coaching- Unlimited access available to employees, spouses, and dependents. Coaching focus areas:
 Review of biometric results and tailored health planning.
 Clinical coaching for hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, and heart health.
 Lifestyle coaching in weight management, tobacco cessation, stress, financial fitness, family health, and
physical activity.

The estimated average annual cost for these services is $85,302 annually. The City of Savannah will fund the $85,302 with cost savings from removing the incentive management and tobacco cessation programs from Quantum and revamping current wellness programs.
