This contract is for the procurement of annual subscriptions/maintenance, License Plate Readers, and Pan-Tilt-Zoom Cameras in an amount not to exceed $193,500. The City of Savannah will use SCAD Serves grant funds to expand its Flock Camera network to further enhance crime reduction efforts. The cost to acquire and implement for one year is $193,500, and is fully funded by the grant. We were granted these funds to expand and strengthen the City’s technologies as they relate to Law Enforcement. We are seeking 40 additional License Plate Readers (LPR’s) and 10 more Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) cameras. Flock Cameras have become a vital investigative and operational tool, supporting both patrol and criminal investigations. The system provides near-instant information, allowing responding officers to quickly identify search areas and determine a vehicle’s direction of travel. The City currently operates 74 contracted Flock cameras; this proposed addition will increase the total to 124 cameras citywide. This investment will further strengthen the department’s mission to reduce crimes and identify criminal behavior through the strategic application of modern technology. Delivery: As needed. This is a sole source. SPD currently utilizes the Flock Safety Camera system; it is important to maintain continuity of this service to avoid compatibility issues and interruptions in services.
