This contract is for the procurement of drones, software, docking, and maintenance from Axon (Skydio) in an amount not to exceed $53,712. The City of Savannah will use SCAD Serves grant funds to acquire the Axon Skydio drone system. This drone will provide real-time crime-centered operations and digital evidence that is conducive to SPD's real crime operating systems. The drone can assist in search and rescue operations, tactical support, and emergency response, among many other real-time intelligence missions. The cost is $53,712 and is fully funded with the grant funds. This acquisition aligns with the City’s priorities of utilizing innovative technology in crime prevention and response, which will further strengthen SPD’s ability to respond to emergencies, enhance investigative capabilities, and expand the use of data-driven, technology-based policing solutions. Delivery: As needed. This is a sole source. Axon Skydio is the only vendor with the technical compatibility and operational efficiency that will integrate with our system.  Axon operational system would be beneficial to the department and other surrounding agencies.
