The purpose of this item is to correct a scrivener’s error contained in previously approved Agenda Item No. 37 on the August 13, 2026 City Council agenda. The error was administrative in nature and does not alter the substance, intent, financial impact, or terms of the action previously approved by City Council. The number of Combination Sewer Cleaner Trucks was incorrectly stated as two (2) and should be corrected to four (4). All other terms and provisions of the previously approved item remain unchanged. Authorize the City Manager to procure four (4) Combination Sewer Cleaner Trucks from Vac-Con in the amount of $2,382,417.59.

Two (2) Combination Sewer Cleaner Trucks will be assigned to the City’s Sewer Maintenance Department to support daily sewer maintenance operations. These units will replace Unit Nos. 8201 and 8838, which are scheduled for replacement under the FY26 Equipment Replacement Plan.

Two (2) additional Combination Sewer Cleaner Trucks will be assigned to the Stormwater Department as fleet additions. These units will support the maintenance and cleaning of the City’s open and closed drainage systems by removing debris, sediment, and other obstructions from stormwater infrastructure, improving system performance, and reducing the risk of localized flooding. The additional vehicles will enhance the Department’s ability to meet increasing operational demands while supporting its responsibilities for maintaining the City’s stormwater drainage system.

The competitive bidding process was not utilized. Per Section 2-4152 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City is authorized to purchase goods or services through Sourcewell Contract No. 101221-VAC, which expires November 29, 2026.
