Title
51. Approval to Award a Contract to Tri-Sate Pump & Control, Inc., to Install a Submersible Variable Frequency Device Pump Station, in the Amount of $88,303
Strategic Priority
N/A
Description

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all specified materials and completing the installation, testing, and commissioning of the new pump station and associated equipment. The pump station, located along Gulfstream Road, will provide irrigation service to both the new Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and Air Cargo facilities. As part of this project, the existing pump system will be replaced with a submersible pump, improving reliability, increasing pumping capacity. The existing pump is rated at 50 gallons per minute (GPM), while the new submersible system will provide a capacity of 100 GPM. This upgrade is designed to meet the Airport's current irrigation demands while providing sufficient capacity to accommodate projected growth. The Commission advertised RFP 2026-0020 from May 5 through June 17, 2026. Because only one bid was received, the bid was extended through July 10, 2026, resulting in two bid submissions. Tri-State Pump & Control, Inc. met all required specifications. Funding for this project was approved in the 2026 budget in the amount of $65,000.
