The City received an annexation petition for three parcels with an aggregate of 85.573 acres located off Veterans Parkway near the Little Ogeechee River. The land under petition is contiguous to existing City territory and, therefore, can be annexed by ordinance adopted by City Council. As required by State law, the County has been informed of receipt of this petition. These parcels are contiguous to 1,056 acres previously annexed into the City of Savannah for the warehouse development currently under construction at Rockingham Farms. The developer previously signed a payment in lieu of taxes agreement with the City of Savannah for the project that will cover the debt service on bonds issued by the City to construct a roadway interchange and other public improvements at the site. 

Approval
