| Description Authorize the City Manager to Execute Sole Source Annual Contact for the Disposal of Biosolids with Waste Management of Georgia,Inc. – Superior Landfill in an Amount not to Exceed $3,900,000. Biosolids are a byproduct of the wastewater treatment process and must be managed and disposed of in accordance with all applicable federal and state environmental regulations. Proper disposal of biosolids is essential to maintaining continuous plant operations, protecting public health, safeguarding the environment, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory permits. The proposed contract includes separate disposal rates for the President Street Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) and the four regional treatment facilities due to differences in biosolids volume, handling requirements, and transportation methods. This is a sole source because other landfills have prohibited the City of Savannah from disposing of any bio-solids in their landfills.
