This is for the approval of an ADA restroom for the Daffin Park Swimming Pool with Restroom Facilities LTD, in an amount not to exceed $212,044.

This project is part of a broader initiative to modernize Daffin Pool and achieve full ADA compliance at the City’s most utilized aquatic center. The new restroom facility is designed to improve accessibility and enhance the overall user experience for residents and visitors of all abilities.

The prefabricated restroom will include a fully accessible single-user restroom equipped with a toilet, sink, shower, and adult changing table to better accommodate patrons with mobility and accessibility needs. In addition, the facility will include an exterior drinking fountain for public use and convenience.

This investment reflects the City’s continued commitment to providing inclusive recreational amenities and ensuring equitable access to aquatic facilities for all citizens of Savannah.

The ADA restroom project was approved as part of the FY2025 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Construction is scheduled to begin in October 2026 following the conclusion of the current swimming season, with substantial completion targeted for January 2027 in preparation for the 2027 pool season.

Pursuant to Section 2-4152 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may procure goods and services through a cooperative contract. The BuyBoard used for this procurement is for restroom Facilities Limited contract #781-25 for Parks and Recreation Equipment, Products and Installation and it expires on 9/30/2028.
