| Strategic Priority GOAL 1: Increase Public Safety and Our Collective Sense of Security | |
| Description A Real-Time Public Safety Center (RTPSC) will significantly enhance the SPD’s ability to prevent, respond to, and investigate crime by providing officers and investigators with immediate access to live camera feeds, public safety technology, and critical intelligence. RTPSC will improve officer and community safety, reduce response times, and increase the effectiveness of investigations through rapid information sharing. The RTPSC will maximize the City’s investment in existing public safety technology by integrating cameras, license plate readers, and other systems into a single operational platform. RTPSC is a force multiplier, enabling SPD to deploy resources efficiently while improving public safety and quality of service provided to the community. The proposed system will include an audio-visual network infrastructure with servers, processors, and a full-length video wall, additional auxiliary screens, command & control stations, casting software system, and all associated cabling, transmitters, and receivers. Per Section 2-4152 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services using a cooperative contract. The contract used for this procurement is an Omnia Partners Cooperative Purchasing Agreement, Contract No. 23-6692-03-6100231. This contract expires on April 30, 2028.
