| Title 27. Authorize the City Manager to Execute a Contract with The Polote Corporation for Liberty Street Parking Garage Exterior Envelope and Cosmetic Repairs in the Amount of $230,000. (Capital Projects) | |
| Strategic Priority GOAL 4: Develop World Class Livable Environment & Infrastructure | |
| Description This project is intended to address exterior envelope and cosmetic repairs at the Liberty Street Parking Garage. The scope of work includes structural concrete restoration, which involves repairing spalling and sealing cracks throughout the garage. Additionally, the project requires rust remediation and protective painting on metal surfaces, structural and cosmetic repairs to the entrance awnings, masonry repairs on exterior brick walls, and the replacement of failing sealants to prevent water damage. The State of Georgia’s job order contract will be used to perform this project to meet time constraints and City ordinance requirements. The State of Georgia’s job order contract is considered a convenience contract that is available for use by all State, City, and County public entities. The purpose of this contract is to provide multi-traded general construction services to accomplish small to medium-sized projects for repair, alteration, modernization, rehabilitation, renovation and minor new construction to infrastructure, buildings, structures, or other real property. The State of Georgia used a competitive bidding procedure to select contractors to perform these services for this project. The general contractor will be The Polote Corporation. Per Section 2-4154 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through the use of a state contract. The contract used for this procurement is a State of Georgia contract for Indefinite Quantity Construction (Contract #99999-SPD-S20260602-0014). It was competitively bid by the State of Georgia and expires on June 2, 2027. Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Polote Corporation through State contract for the repair of the Liberty Street Garage in the amount of $230,000. | |
