Title 16. Authorize the City Manager to Approve an Agreement for a Fleet Services Assessment with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. in the amount of $121,750. (Event No. 7964)
Strategic Priority Good Government
Description Recommend approval of an agreement for a Fleet Services Assessment with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. in the amount of $121,750. The Fleet Services Department will use the assessment to evaluate current practices and identify existing deficiencies. The assessment will also make recommendations to improve Fleet’s quality of service, timeliness, future performance and potential cost savings. This is a sole source because the vendor has intimate knowledge of the City and its operations. The vendor has successfully worked with Parking Services, Water and Sewer Department, Stormwater Operations, and Public Works in assessing their practices. These departments rely heavily on the City’s Fleet Services to operate efficiently and effectively. This assessment will build on the data previously collected from the vendor and prove beneficial as the knowledge of the City’s operations is essential for a successful assessment of the Fleet Services Department.
