| Description Recommend approval to renew an annual contract for DNA laboratory services with Serological Research Institute in the estimated amount of $62,040.00. The Savannah Police Department will use the DNA laboratory services to perform DNA testing on firearms and swab samples taken from firearms and compare samples taken from known individuals. The method used for this procurement was the request for proposal, which evaluates criteria in addition to costs. Proposals were evaluated on the basis of qualifications and experience, technical capabilities, fees, references, local vendor participation, and MWBE participation. Proposals were received on August 20, 2016. The original contract was approved in Council on March 2, 2017. The contract term shall be from April 25, 2019 through December 31, 2019. | |
