Title 30. Motion to Procure Budget and Performance Software from OpenGov (Event No. 7075)
Strategic Priority Good Government
Description Recommend approval to procure a cloud-based budget and performance solution from OpenGov in the amount of $398,825.00. This service will be used by the Office of Management and Budget to create the 2020 Budget and future budgets. The service will also track progress on performance measurements. The information gathered in these processes will be publicly displayed through the transparency portal interface offered by the software on the City’s website. This solution will also interface with the City’s various other software systems to provide relevant information to be used in developing the annual Budget. This purchase includes the cost of staff training, and the launch of the cloud-based solution. The State Purchasing Division establishes Statewide Contracts (SWCs) for the benefit of both State and Local government entities throughout Georgia. By leveraging the State's purchasing power, SPD establishes competitive statewide contracts for a variety of products, services, and equipment. State and Local governments can benefit from the convenience and competitive pricing of these pre-established contracts. Contracts include commonly used commodities such as office supplies, office furniture, motor vehicles, temporary staffing, building supplies, and many other commodities and services. The State of Georgia used a competitive bidding procedure to select OpenGov to serve as the sole provider of these services for this region.
