This contract is to procure six rear loader garbage truck cab & chassis, essential components needed to build rear loading garbage trucks, from Battle Motors c/o Associated Fuel Systems in the amount of $1,078,092. The rear loader garbage truck cab & chassis will be used by the Sanitation Department's Residential Refuse, Recycling & Litter Services Division. Of the six units, four are planned FY25 replacements for units 6732, 6733, 6734, and 6735. The remaining two chassis will be FY25 fleet additions to support the division’s growing operational needs. These cab & chassis are designed to provide safe, ergonomic cabs with low entry for easy access and seating for four employees, ensuring both safety and efficiency for the crew.

Per Section of 2-4152 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through the use of a cooperative contract.
