The City formerly sold a portion of a City-owned lane located between 58th Street and Delesseps Avenue (north/south) and between Waters Avenue and Guatemala Street (east/west) on January 29, 1998. At that time, a utility easement was reserved by the City within the lane. Subsequently, the lane was combined with other properties to assemble a site that was developed with an O’Reilly Auto Parts Store. The City no longer has a utility line within the easement area. The current property owner, West Eck Partners, L.P., has requested the City abandon and quit claim the vacated easement.

The request has been reviewed and approved by City Attorney’s Office, Real Estate Services, and Water Sewer Planning & Engineering. Additionally, authorization for the City Manager to execute the Release and Quitclaim Deed and any associated closing documents are being requested.
