Description

Resolution authorizing the City Manager to transfer four properties located at 601, 602, 606, and 610 West 57th street to the Chatham County / City of Savannah Land Bank Authority (LBA) and to authorize the Feiler Park Neighborhood Association to use of up to $600,000 from the Savannah Affordable Housing Funds (SAHF) to develop three new houses on the Lots at 602, 606, and 610 West 57th Street.  The Feiler Park Neighborhood Association has requested to purchase the transferred properties from the LBA.  The Association will continue to use the house located at 601 W. 57th Street to serve neighborhood residents. It will borrow the approved SAHFs to hire CHSA Development, Inc. to build three new houses on vacant lots at 602, 606, and 610 W. 57th Street.  The Association will offer to collaborate with homeless service providers and others to rent the new homes to families in need of affordable housing.
