The installation of new ballfield lights at the Guy Minick Youth Sports Complex will provide more opportunities for youth and adult sports teams to conduct practices and games during evening hours. Description

This contract is to procure installation services for new ballfield lights at the Guy Minick Youth Sports Complex from MUSCO Sports Lighting, LLC in an amount not to exceed $838,445. The installation of the new ballfield lights will provide more opportunities for youth and adult sports teams to conduct practices and games during the evening hours.

 

Currently, there are limited lighted fields across the city. These additional lights will expand play locations for teams, as well as community associations and neighborhood residents while increasing the potential to generate revenue from rental groups for the same purposes, including tournament play. 

 

This procurement is being done using Sourcewell contract #041123-MSL. Per section 2-4152 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through the use of a cooperative contract. It was competitively bid by Sourcewell, and it expires on June 16, 2024. Terms: Net 30 days. Delivery: As requested.

C.C. MUSCO Sports Lighting, LLC (Oskaloosa, IA)(D)       $838,445 

 

A pre-proposal meeting was not conducted as this is being procured through the use of Sourcewell Cooperative Contract. (D) Indicates non-local, non-DBE-business.
