Description

This contract is to procure a parking matters study from Stantec Consulting Services in the amount of $128,285. The Parking and Mobility Services Department will use Stantec to conduct the analysis, evaluate the existing parking situation, and develop strategies to optimize parking utilization and efficiency. The vendor will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Assessing the current parking infrastructure, including parking lots, garages, and on-street parking within the study area.
  • Conducting occupancy studies to determine parking demand and patterns during peak and non-peak hours in all affected zones within the defined study boundary, which extends from Liberty Street to the north, Victory Drive to the south, Martin Luther King Boulevard to the west, and Broad Street to the east.
  • Reviewing relevant city ordinances, policies, and regulations related to parking management.
  • Engaging with stakeholders, including city officials, business owners, and residents, to understand parking needs and concerns.
  • Developing innovative and sustainable parking solutions, considering factors such as technological advancements, public transportation, and alternative modes of transportation.

 

The method used for this procurement was the request for proposals (RFP), which evaluates criteria in addition to cost. The proposals were evaluated based on the proposer’s qualifications and experience, technical capabilities, references, Savannah First, Fees, and DBE participation. Two (2) proposals were received in response to this RFP. All proposals were reviewed and fully evaluated by a selection committee of City staff. The proposal was advertised, opened, and reviewed. Delivery: As needed. Terms: Net 30 days.
