Strategic Priority Infrastructure | |
Description Recommend approval to renew an annual maintenance agreement with Siemens Industry, Inc. in the amount of $47,629. The agreement will be used by the Public Works and Water Resources Department to maintain variable frequency drives used to control water pumps for raw water and finished water distribution. The frequency drives control the flow of sewage through pumps and help wastewater treatment plants achieve the required flows necessary to operate effectively. This maintenance agreeement services 17 drives currently in the system. The maintenance includes two inspections per year and covers troubleshooting, cleaning, service repairs and reporting. This is a sole source because Siemens Industry, Inc. is the manufacturer of the drives and only allows Siemen’s certified factory trained technicians to maintain its equipment. S.S. Siemens Industry, Inc. (Waukesha, WI)(D) (D) Indicates non-local, non-minority owned business.
