| Description This contract is for rehabilitation services of three (3) City swimming pools with Smith Aquatics, Inc. in the amount of $614,829. The repairs will be made to the Daffin Park, W.W. Law, and Tompkins Center pools. The work includes, but is not limited to, the re-plastering of all three pools, upgrading pump equipment, upgrading controllers, upgrading electrical panels, and installing lane line tiles. The fourth City Pool at Bowles Ford will be undergoing an engineering study to determine its stability before renovations can be scheduled.
The construction contract includes a 10% allowance for each pool to cover plaster separation of layers (delamination) and any delamination over the 10% threshold has a unit cost per square foot. Any additional delamination over 10% is not covered in the current contract amount. The amount of delamination cannot be fully determined until the pools are drained. Terms: Net 30 days.
