| Title Motion to Amend the Zoning Ordinance Regarding Review of New Construction and Exterior Work Visible From a Street or Lane (Petitioner: Planning Commission) | |
| Description MPC Text Amendment (File No. 17-005633-ZA), Amendments to Article K (Mid-City District), Sec. 8-3207(1) (Certificate of Appropriateness Required). Amendments generated by MPC staff are proposed to the Certificate of Appropriateness review process for the Mid-City District to do the following: 1) To clarify that new construction is required to be reviewed for a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA); 2) To revise wording within Sec. 8-3207(1) for consistency; and, 3) To indicate that a COA is required for all structures visible from a public right of way. On September 26, 2017, the Planning Commission voted to recommend approval of the petition. | |
