Description

Recommend approval to award an annual contract for chlorine and hydrofluosilicic (HFS) acid from Savannah Brush and Chemical Company in the amount of $184,800.00. 

The Water Resources Department uses HFS acid to add fluoride to the water supply and treat groundwater to state and local drinking water standards. The chlorine is used for disinfection of harmful pathogens. The chlorine will be delivered in 150-pound cylinders at 46 well sites and two treatment plants located across the service area.   

This contract term will be from October 11, 2018 throught December 31, 2019.
