| Description Recommend approval to award a solesource purchase to OMI Industries in an amount of $70,000. This purchase is for an odor-eliminating agent to neutralize industrial smells and remove a broad spectrum of odorous compounds at the President Street Waterwaste Plant. Eco-sorb is used in the Vapor-Phase Odor Neutralization System that was purchased July 2020 to supplement the main scrubber unit. The Vapor-Phase Odor Neutralization System was manufactured and customized to the plant's environment. The system is in continuous use and requires this neutralizing agent to function properly. After a cost comparison and frequency of purchases, the Water Reclamation Department determined that the 275-gallon tote for $9,505 each was the best option than the 55-gallon drums for $2,001 each. This is a sole source purchase because OMI Industries is the manufactured supplier for the specialized equiptment and is the only vendor that supplies the proprietary chemical used with the vapor system.
