Description

Robert Evangelista for Bellwether House Investors, LLC t/a Bellwether House is requesting a Class C (Liquor, Beer, Wine)(By the Drink) and Class A (Wine)(Caterer) Alcohol License at 211 E. Gaston St. The establishment is located between Abercorn St. and Lincoln St. in Aldermanic District 2. No concerns noted by the neighborhood association or Savannah Police Department. The applicant plans to operate a bed & breakfast (New Owner/Request)

Recommendation

If the Class C (Liquor, Beer, Wine)(By the Drink) and Class A (Wine)(Caterer) alcohol beverage licenses are  approved, the following conditions are recommended:

  • The sale of beer, wine, or alcoholic beverages served by the drink shall solely be to occupants of a hotel and their guests for consumption only on the premises;
  • No exterior sign of any type advertising or calling attention to the sale of beer, wine or alcoholic beverages shall be on such premises;
  • The property does not have a valid license for the “Hall, banquet or reception” principal use classification and does not have non-conforming status for this use classification; and 
  • No more than six (6) events per year may be held on the Property.
