This ordinance amendment is requesting to repeal and replace Part 8, Chapter 1, Article A, Buildings in
General, Section 8-1002, Title; Local Code Amendments. This section has been revised for the following reasons:

1. To eliminate local amendments to the International Residential and Building Codes no longer required by the Building Official.
2. To align this Section with the 2018 version of the International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) as adopted by the GA Department of Community Affairs (DCA).
3. To establish local requirements for insect screening (March 1 through December 31) and the heating of indoor occupiable work spaces (November 1 through May 1).
